Pakistan A pulled off a stunning three-wicket victory over India A in the final of the Quadrangular Series in Chennai on Wednesday.
Chasing a target of 267, Pakistan A rode on half-centuries from opener Imam-ul-Haq (60) and captain Babar Azam (55) to win the match with two balls to spare.
Pakistan A got off to a poor start, losing opener Fakhar Zaman for a duck in the second over. However, Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam steadied the innings with a 100-run partnership for the second wicket.
Imam-ul-Haq was dismissed in the 27th over, but Babar Azam continued to bat aggressively and brought up his half-century in the 35th over. He was eventually dismissed in the 42nd over, but by then Pakistan A were well on their way to victory.
Mohammad Rizwan (41) and Asif Ali (32) also made useful contributions to the chase. In the end, it was left to Mohammad Amir to hit the winning runs with a boundary in the final over.
For India A, Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4-44. Navdeep Saini and Khaleel Ahmed also took two wickets each.
