Charley Hull: Solheim Cup star set for Aramco Team Series debut
Team Europe star Charley Hull is targeting success in London as she prepares to tee up for her debut appearance in the Aramco Team Series.
The Englishwoman will be part of Team Olesen, captained by Ryder Cup star Thorbjørn Olesen, as the revolutionary team format tournament comes to Centurion Club from July 21-24.
The world No.32 holed the winning putt for Team Europe at the Solheim Cup last year and also triumphed in the Saudi Ladies Team International in 2020.
Joining forces with Ryder Cup star Thorbjørn Olesen, Hull is relishing the chance to compete in the Aramco Team Series, which offers a unique blend of individual and team play
Like Hull, Olesen knows the winning feeling in the team format, having been part of three Ryder Cup-winning teams, and he is targeting another taste of success.
The unique format of the Aramco Team Series sees players compete in a 72-hole tournament over three days, with individual stroke play scores counting towards both an individual title and a team total.
The Aramco Team Series began in 2021 and has quickly become the premier women’s team golf series in Europe.
Since it began in 2021, the Aramco Team Series has visited five countries and welcomed some of the biggest names in women’s golf, including Solheim Cup stars Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson and Suzann Pettersen.
Hull is one of the most popular and recognizable golfers in the world, having won five times on the LPGA Tour.
The 26-year-old hits big and long, making her a threat at any course she plays.
She will team up with Olesen, fellow Englishman Sam Horsfield and rising Swedish star Maja Stark in Team Olesen.
